Why I'm breaking up with Verizon Wireless.
I figured since Verizon Wireless does not seem to care about my problem, although they say "your problems is our problem" or some other garbage, I would chronicle my problem with them here. Maybe someone would read this and offer some advise or maybe if others would chime in and say they have had similar issues as well and then we could out Verizon's evil ways.
Its actually quite simple to me.
I pay my bill every month on time and have been for years about 4 to be exact. I lost interest in trying to "read" the Bill as they keep changing it and such. Plus I just figure if its not like $200 I'm paying my fair price for the usage of the service.
Anyhow over the summer we got bills for June, July, Aug and Sept. We paid the bill amount "you owe x-amount". We pay that no questions. On time, mind you.
Anyhow October comes and the bill is like $450 something (this is from memory here so the numbers and dates are not exact, you want exact I can do that some-other time)
New we knew it was going to be high since we were buying a house and using the cell constantly, but not THAT much. So I call and the Verizon Wireless, we'll call them VW for now, on states that it was their mistake. Ok cool, I think no big deal. Apparently they accidently credited my account back in JUNE for $245 or so, their mistake. Now in OCTOBER they say our bad, you now owe the past due PLUS the late charges!
So this is where it gets ugly.
So I talk to some woman about this and she basically says "its our mistake but we want it paid in full immediately." I was like WTF! You make and error, then expect me to pay for your mistake ASAP! NO WAY. I explained, as nicely as I could, I had just purchased a house and didn't have $400 some-odd dollars to pay them, can I pay a little here and there. She said no, but as long as I pay, say at least $100 they would probably leave me alone and not interrupt my service. I said cool no problem. We will continue paying the bill + some extra.
LIES ALL LIES
So a few weeks go by, we paid the bill and put $200 or so towards the bill. I get a phone call asking me if I would like to pay the balance in full or risk service interruption. I told the woman I JUST sent in $200+ isn't that enough, I am paying something at least and its not $10 here and there its over $100!! I then told the VW phone agent that the last woman I talked with said that as long as I was paying my account would not be turned off, etc. This VW Phone agent told me I was misinformed. Great. So how do I know YOUR misinforming me this time? He assured me his word was the gospel. I continued to remind him it was THEIR Mistake and quite frankly how do I now know this is not some scam where they credit your account then months later ask for it back immediately, do that to hundreds of customers and thats quite a windfall, maybe before quarterly earning, I was reaching but I was pissed.
The VW Phone guy informed me that they do not make "payments" and I needed to pay it all now or the phone would be turned off. Again I went back to my "ITS YOUR MISTAKE" to no avail, I told they guy how inflexible they were being, look up my account I pay on time, I have no issues with my account EVER. Nothing, dead silence. They guy again asks me "would you like to make a payment today?" I said NO and hung up.
This takes place AGAIN with some woman a week later, again I get nowhere. Meanwhile we keep paying and paying, on-time mind you, plus extra for the old bill.
I also get about 5-10 phone calls on my T-Mobile Cell phone from them as well
asking for payment. During the middle of the day. I asked one guy if he would be paying my minutes used, he said no and I told him to call me at home then and hung up.
They keep telling me "its their system it flags you and we automatically call you"
So yesterday I get a letter in the mail stating I need to pay in full or I'm going to collections. Wonderful. Thanks Verizon, my problem is certainly NOT your problem at all, its the "system"
I have never dealt with such an unflexable company in my life. They made a mistake and demanded for their error to be paid in full. The only thing they "would" do for me was eliminate the late payment charges, thanks, really.
So in conclusion I'm canceling Verizon Wireless and Verizon whatever I got and telling anyone out there to stay away from them.
I'm not the only one either read some of these

I'm sure you can find just as many people pleased with them as well, but my point is not with the problem but with the lack of a solution and inflexibility on their part. Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
